WIRE PROCESSING · CABLE ASSEMBLY · CRIMPING TECHNOLOGY
Feeding, cutting, stripping, sealing, crimping, and component placement are all performed in a single system. Each part is inspected during processing.
In traditional cable assembly, the cable is transported from station to station. Each transport presents an opportunity for mix-ups, damage, and downtime. At KE Elektronik, multiple process steps take place in a single system: from material feeding, cutting, stripping, sealing, and crimping to automated housing assembly.
Every product is monitored and inspected throughout the entire processing time, and the system automatically rejects defective parts. Criteria such as the crimp force curve, strip length, and contact position are recorded.
At KE Elektronik, wire processing is carried out using fully automated processing systems. The entire wire-end processing is performed in a single system: from material feeding, cutting, stripping, sealing, and crimping to automated housing assembly. Every product is monitored and inspected throughout the entire processing time, and defective parts are automatically sorted out. This enables KE Elektronik to meet the highest quality standards. Where the cross-section or material requires a material-bonded connection, we use ultrasonic welding.
A final inspection detects the defect after it has occurred. There are often several production shifts between the cause of the defect and its discovery. Because every process step in our plant is monitored, this time span is reduced to seconds. This is precisely what enables us to meet the quality standards that automotive customers require.
Data cables, high-voltage cables, and special temperature-resistant cables place different demands on tooling and parameters. We design the processes for each cable type and verify them through cross-section analysis, tensile testing, 360° camera surveillance, oOptical and tactile measurement of the contact position, as well as an integrated high-voltage test.
