TRANSMISSION APPLICATIONS · CONNECTION SYSTEMS · OIL-RESISTANT
Complex wiring harnesses for dual-clutch and automatic transmissions. Oil-resistant, temperature-resistant, and designed for continuous use in transmission fluid.
A cable assembly in the transmission is in constant contact with hot transmission fluid and must withstand this stress throughout the entire product life cycle. Oil ingress, as well as thermal and mechanical loads, pose additional challenges that are essential for smooth operation in the vehicle.
KE Elektronik supplies complex wiring harnesses for conventional and hybrid dual-clutch transmissions, as well as for 8- and 9-speed automatic transmissions. Through various system manufacturers, these transmission applications are supplied to nearly all well-known international luxury and premium vehicle manufacturers.
We develop the connection technology for this in-house: connector housing, contacts, seals, and overmolding as a complete system. Plastic manufacturing, wire processing, and assembly all take place at a single location, which shortens coordination processes and reduces the number of change cycles.
Our complex wiring harnesses are used in both conventional and hybrid dual-clutch transmissions, as well as in 8- and 9-speed automatic transmissions. Oil resistance and optimal connection technology under the most extreme conditions are of the utmost technical importance in this product segment. KE Elektronik supplies transmission wiring harnesses through various system manufacturers to nearly all major vehicle manufacturers.

Standard parts rarely cover the entire range of gearboxes. Installation space, connection methods, and sealing concepts vary depending on the gearbox generation. As a connector manufacturer within Amphenol Corporation, we combine proven contact systems with customized connector housings instead of starting every project from scratch.
Calculations and simulations identify critical areas early on. Initial prototypes can be produced quickly using rapid prototyping, while we plan the production tooling and equipment in parallel. This ensures that the timeline leading up to the start of production (SOP) remains realistic, even for complex projects.
