Testing laboratory for technical cleanliness

KE Elektronik possesses a wide range of measuring and testing facilities, which are necessary for sampling, validation and analyzing. A scanner measures the parts three dimensionally, quickly and very accurately. We carry out cleanliness checks in the testing laboratory on basis of the VDA-Volume 19 / ISO 16232.

Additionally to these requirements we also test according to our customer´s standards and demands. Using a computer controlled light microscope, particles are automatically counted and measured. Metallic and non-metallic particles up to a size of 15 µm are analyzed.

Environmental tests

Our production equipment contains also different climate cabinets and temperature shock cabinets. With these devices we can simulate humidity (0 to 98% relative humidity) and temperature (-80° C to +220° C) conditions.

Climatic tests are carried out testing cold (according to IEC 60068-2-1), dry heat (according to IEC 60068-2-2), humid heat (according to IEC 60068-2-30), fast temperature change (according to IEC 60068-2-14 Na) and slow temperature change (according to IEC 60068-2-14 Nb).

3-D Surface Scanner

We use 3-D surface scanner to determine the components geometry. To get an accurate picture of the component we collect a great number of points and all the elements of ruled geometry. An actual model is created, that is aligned with the CAD data set. In doing so we can detect surface deviations by comparing it with the CAD model.

Different measurement volumes define the accuracy, the size/dimensions and the sharpness of detail of the projected component. Additionally it is possible to create a measurement report for the whole component.

X-Ray Analyses

To carry out non-destructive tests we use a high definition X-ray system. Thereby we can check crimping and welding points inside the component.

Checking injection-molding parts, we are able to detect air pockets (blowholes) with a resolution of up to 1µm.
